Washington 129

WA 129 is a collection of poems by poets from around Washington State. The anthology was created and edited by former Washington State Poet Laureate Tod Marshall and was published by Sage Hill Press. The collection includes poetry by current poet laureate Claudia Castro Luna, former poets laureate, acclaimed writers like Sherman Alexie, Tess Gallagher, Heather McHugh, and Tom Robbins, and amateur poets alike. A poem was collected for every year of statehood—hence “129.” The book was launched on April 13th at a launch party at the state capitol in Olympia. You can buy the print copy at Amazon, or check for availability at your local independent bookstore.

In addition, an accompanying series of chapbooks containing more poems from Washington poets, WA 129+, is available for free here.

The WA 129 anthology is made possible, in part, with support from the Amazon Literary Partnership.
